Annual Carbon Footprint Analysis

No path can be defined without first identifying the starting point. Part of our sustainability commitment is acknowledging our current impact, based on comparable and reliable data.

As part of our traceability and transparency journey, Liu Jo conducts an annual Corporate Carbon Footprint Analysis. The first analysis, conducted on 2022 data, helped us understand the environmental impact of our operations and establish a baseline for continuous improvement in the years to come.

Tangible and Measurable Actions.
In Line with Our Corporate Goals.

Sustainability is achieved not only through the conversion of production materials but also through the adaptation of headquarters and stores to all those good practices that, starting from small daily actions and the proper management of spaces, substantiate our commitment.

Store Impact.

Our goal is to prioritize digital solutions and reduce environmental impact, embracing values that combine glamour, femininity, and sustainability. Following this philosophy, we have discontinued the production of paper catalogs and instead equipped our stores with tablets, allowing access to content, images, videos, and brand information in a more sustainable way.

Packaging Impact.

Between 2019 and 2021, we redesigned our packaging using more sustainable materials, ensuring that all elements that identify and accompany our garments are made from FSC-certified paper or recycled plastic.

Since 2022, we have exclusively used:

Boxes made from fully recyclable materials

Garment bags made from regenerated white polyethylene (PE-LD)

Shoppers made from FSC-certified recycled paper

B2B PACKAGING

Yesterday

Today

Cardboard boxes were used, to which metal staples and polypropylene adhesive tape were applied. An adhesive label was then attached, requiring the use of non-disposable pigmented tape.

The cardboard boxes used are made entirely from recycled and recyclable materials. Adhesive labels have been eliminated and are now printed directly on the packages using high-definition thermoplastic resin inkjet markers.

Approximately 90% of hanging garments were shipped using polypropylene garment bags, closed with an integrated textile fiber drawstring. An adhesive label was subsequently applied to the bags.

The bags used to ship hanging garments are made of 100% regenerated white polyethylene (PE-LD), obtained entirely from recycled industrial waste.

Our commitment to sustainability never stops, thanks to our continuous search for certified raw materials that are socially and environmentally sustainable.

Headquarters & Office Impact

Single-use plastic bottles contribute significantly to ocean pollution. Aware of this, since January 2019, we have equipped all our offices with automatic water dispensers and provided all employees with reusable 500ml stainless steel bottles, significantly reducing waste.

Energy Savings

We have transitioned 100% of the energy used in our headquarters and owned showrooms—as well as 80% of the energy used in stores and outlets—from fossil fuels to renewable sources.
