Liu Jo and the Group’s brands continue to move towards a more conscious and responsible fashion model.
In its ongoing journey to combine style, beauty and responsibility, the Exelite Group reaffirms its concretecommitment in 2024 to measuring and reducing its environmental impact. An effort built on transparency, monitoring and a clear vision: contributing to a future where creativity does not weigh on the planet.
A path grounded in scientific measurement.
For the third consecutive year, the Exelite Group has entrusted Quantis, a leading environmentalconsultancy, with the analysis of its Carbon Footprint, in accordance with the international standards of the
Greenhouse Gas Protocol. The goal is to gain an increasingly deep understanding of impact sources throughout the value chain and to identify the areas where intervention can most effectively reduce
emissions. The 2024 analysis covers the entire Group, which includes Liu Jo, ELI, Liu Jo Uomo, Blufin, Rebel Queen,
Digital Boite, Liu Jo Luxury and EIH Logistics, offering a detailed picture of the progress achieved and the
new priorities for action.
2024 results: tangible and measurable progress.
In 2024, the Exelite Group’s total Carbon Footprint stands at approximately 172 ktCO₂eq, marking a 5%reduction compared to 2023 and a 13% reduction compared to 2022. This result demonstrates the positive impact of efficiency strategies, achieved despite an increase in high-emission activities. As in the wider fashion and retail industry, most of the impact comes from indirect Scope 3 emissions, which account for 98% of the total, mainly linked to raw materials and manufacturing processes.
Focus on Liu Jo: quality, fine materials and responsibility.
For Liu Jo, 2024 was a year of balance between quality and environmental awareness. The increased use of wool and cashmere, natural but high-emission materials, led to a rise in FLAG emissions (related to forests, land and agriculture), which grew from 12% to 18%. This figure reflects the brand’s decision to prioritize premium fibres, while also reinforcing the importance of responsible sourcing and raw material traceability strategies. At the same time, Liu Jo and the other brands in the Group continue to invest in renewable energy, whichnow covers nearly half of the Group’s total electricity demand, and in supplier engagement projects aimed
at reducing emissions throughout the supply chain.
Looking ahead: the value of change
Environmental challenges remain, but the Exelite Group faces the future with an increasingly structured and integrated approach. Among the priorities for 2025 are supply chain mapping, the adoption of eco-designcriteria, and the gradual reduction of production process impacts. For Liu Jo, sustainability remains a matter of identity, a way to live and express beauty in harmony with the planet, with the belief that every gesture, every collection and every innovation can contribute to a more balanced and conscious future.
